Flow Detect
The questions worth asking.
Price, access, reports and the practicalities of arranging a leak investigation.
What does the £1,290 price cover?
The agreed residential work includes investigation, specialist detection, tracing, necessary access or excavation, plumbing repair, parts, materials, suitable testing, a Trace & Access report and a 12-month workmanship warranty. Decorative and remedial reinstatement is excluded. Commercial instructions are quoted separately.
Is the £100 deposit an additional charge?
No. It forms part of the total. Once a booking is agreed, the £100 deposit leaves £1,190 to pay against the £1,290 residential package.
Will you need to open a floor or wall?
We use suitable tests to reduce unnecessary exploration. Reaching a concealed pipe to repair it can still require an opening. We discuss the proposed access and what will need reinstating.
Can I use the report for an insurance claim?
The Trace & Access report records the investigation and agreed plumbing work. You can share it with your insurer; cover, claim approval and reimbursement depend on your policy and the insurer’s decision.
Does Flow Detect cover my address?
Browse the town and region guides, then share the exact postcode. Coverage and the practical appointment arrangements are confirmed for the property.
Do you repair leaks as well as finding them?
The agreed residential package includes the plumbing repair, its parts and materials, necessary access, suitable testing and the report. Decorative and remedial reinstatement is excluded.
Is there an hourly surcharge if work takes longer?
There is no extra hourly surcharge simply because the agreed residential work takes longer. Unrelated additional work or a changed instruction must still be agreed.
Does the website form send my details?
The current form prepares a draft in your browser. You can copy or download it. It does not send the details, book a visit or take payment.
Can you guarantee a leak will be found?
No detection method guarantees a result in every system or condition. We explain what the available evidence supports and any remaining uncertainty.
